Golden Plains XII will come true, as always, on an epic long weekend, in The Meredith Supernatural Astrotheatre, bathed in glorious zodiacal light, ready, willing and able to graciously receive the bountiful gifts of Twelve.

The Ballot is open now, for a short time only. It’s free and easy to ENTER THE BALLOT.

Additionally, VOLUNTEER APPLICATIONS are open.

Golden Plains XII Happens over two days and two nights in glorious Autumn in the greatest of outdoors at the Meredith Supernatural Amphitheatre, Victoria, Australia. The Sun arrives eight minutes and twenty seconds after it left and lands like honey on the trees. Afternoon goes on all day and The Big Bang happens twice. The first GP rolled out in 2007; the more things change, the more they stay the same, including a commitment to constant improvement: GPXII will be the same shape, same size, and still proudly and genuinely BYO – not just in the campgrounds but the Amphitheatre – with no commercial sponsors, the one and only stage, the renowned No Dickhead Policy, and best-practice services and facilities.

The Meredith Supernatural Amphitheatre has been natured and nurtured on twenty-six years of knuckled-down know-how, for the singular purpose of hosting Something Uniquely Remarkable. It is designed and built purely for this. It is permanent. It’s one of the best places on Earth to spend A Long Weekend with friends and lovers – and yourself – exploring inner and outer space.

GPXII will be very, very Golden.

The controls are set for the heart of Premium Mode.

Manifold highlights at any time of day or night – some directed, most unexpected.

We will advise soon.

As always, the sound of Now, Then and Forever will be hand-stitched to seamlessly fit the evolving atmospherics of the Supernatural Amphitheatre, with Mother Nature on the lights.

First night goes on to the small hours, followed by a little Silence is Golden. Tide comes in, tide goes out. Tide comes back in again – second night goes through to the first flicker of dawn. Logical conclusion.

Everything is as always on the One and Only Stage. Nothing clashes, you miss nothing, unless you want to.

Every ticket helps regional organisations do great things in the district. At the festival, feeding yourself from the Community Tucker Tent helps twelve local organisations do their thing for Meredith town. Uncle Doug’s Tree Project allows you to offset your travel and waste emissions and we match it dollar for dollar – thousands of trees have been planted around the farm as a result. The festival privately helps fund local community and arts projects. We are grateful to the wonderful district who so graciously help host Golden Plains and her sister festival Meredith.

A number revered by early mathematicians and astronomers alike, assigned to divide the sky and define time itself, reflecting the movements of divine beings.

Thanks from everyone here, for being interested in Golden Plains. It’s a great pleasure to dream hard, work hard, play easy and conduct all manner of tangible and intangible activities to bring this thing together each season.

We remain open to ideas.

Remember – the best way to be part of it is to Enter The Ballot.

I hope to see you in The Sup’.
